Whether you just purchased a new lead list, or collected names and addresses at an event, you probably want to get these new leads into Prospector for scoring. The quickest way to do so is by using Prospector's List Import feature. The following steps will guide you through the simple process of importing new leads into Prospector. In the end, you'll have a collection of newly scored leads that will be delivered back into your CRM automatically.

Prepare Your List for Uploading

In order to import your lead list into Prospector, you need to do a little preparation first. Organize your leads into an excel file, and include the following columns of information for each lead. Don't worry if some of your leads have missing information, but include as much as possible. Or click here for a template you can follow!

Launch the List Import Wizard

After logging into Prospector, click on the "Lists" tab on the leftside navigation. Click on the "Import" button to launch the List Import Wizard. Click "choose file" to select the excel file you prepared in the previous step. Specify if you have included column names in the excel file, and then enter a name for your list. Be as descriptive and clear as possible. Click Next to continue.

Confirmation and Upload

The final step of the Import Wizard is a chance to check your work before starting the upload. If you need to make any adjustments, click the "Previous" button to navigate backwards through the wizard. Otherwise, if all looks good, click "Confirm" to start the file upload.

Your New List!

Once the file has been processed, you will see it appear in the tableview containing your lists. Look for it by name. Give Prospector some time overnight to process the leads on this list. Overnight, each lead will be appended (as needed) with Acxiom, InfoUSA, and Ticketing data. Prospector will then compute star-ratings based on your scoring models, and will sync to your CRM. Once it's done, you can distribute the scored leads to your sales reps and start converting sales. Good luck!
